Giving To The Cowgirl

From the earliest days of the western expansion, we know of countless acts of sacrifice and generosity. Each generation has shown the way to the next.

Gifts of all kinds help support the Cowgirl Museum today and for future generations. When you make a gift, you’ll be entitled to a charitable deduction that may reduce the income taxes you owe. Here are a few ways you can help us keep the Cowgirl’s mission alive.

Outright Gifts – gifts in the form of cash, through a check or credit card are always welcome.

Gifts of Assets – the Cowgirl accepts gifts of stock, securities, land or other appreciated assets.

Planned Gifts – a simple and meaningful way to make a contribution to the Cowgirl Museum is through your will, life insurance, or estate plan. The Cowgirl Legacy Society recognizes donors who share the desire to preserve the history and heritage of the women who helped shape the west and thus our country by making a planned gift. If you have made a planned gift, please let us know. A will or bequest is a legal declaration of a person’s wishes regarding the disposal of his or her property or estate after death. The most common types of charitable bequests are:

Outright – a gift of a specific amount or specific asset.
Percentage – a percentage of the assets (such as ten percent (10%) or one-fourth (1/4).
Rest, residue and remainder – all that remains after debts, taxes, and all outright bequests have been made. Your attorney can make this provision by including a bequest in your will or estate plan, or by means of an amendment (codicil), to your present will. The bequest should be made to: The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame,1720 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

Your gift is very important to us as we seek to fulfill the mission of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame to “honor and celebrate women, past and present, whose lives exemplify the courage, resilience, and independence that helped shape the American West, and fosters an appreciation of the ideals and spirit of self-reliance they inspire”.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We’ve yet to find wider shoulders than the ones we find in Fort Worth. Simply, many of our exhibitions wouldn’t be possible without the generous contributions from hundreds of sponsoring organizations.

You might be interested in sponsoring a specific event such as our annual Induction Luncheon, one of our many education programs, or special exhibits. Contributions can also be made in other forms, including helping us with transportation for our works of art, catering food for events, promoting the Museum or offering direct financial support.

In return, we’ll recognize you in prominent print promotions, as well as by signs placed inside the Museum during a sponsored event.

Is your organization interested in being recognized for your support of the arts? We’ll tailor our benefit to fit your needs and interests. Let’s talk. Please contact Tara Trask at
